Screen Doodling

In both entire screen and region recording modes, you can use the screen doodling feature. This lets you highlight important points, mark key details, or add creative touches during your recordings.

How to Open the Drawing Tools?

  • Before You Start Recording: Click on the paintbrush icon to open the drawing tools.

  • During Recording: If you didn’t open the drawing tools beforehand, you can still turn them on anytime while recording.

How to Use Drawing Tools?

  1. Choose a Tool
    Select the tool you want by clicking its icon in the toolbar. Here’s what each one does:

  • Pen: Draw freehand lines or shapes.

  • Highlighter: Highlight areas with a semi-transparent color to draw attention to important parts.

  • Rec/Ellipse: Draw rectangles or circles to mark specific spots.

  • Arrow: Add arrows to point out directions or key elements.

  • Line: Draw straight lines for alignment or guidance.

  • Text: Add written notes or labels.

  • Sequence Number: Insert numbers to guide viewers through steps or processes.

  1. Customize Your Settings

  • Color: Pick colors that make your drawings stand out.

  • Thickness: Adjust the line thickness to fit your needs.

  • Text Size: Change the font size so your text is easy to read.

  1. Start Drawing

  • For tools like Pen or Highlighter, just click and drag your mouse to create your design.

  • For geometric tools like Rec/Ellipse or Arrow, click and drag to set the size and position of the shape.

  • For Text, click where you want the text to appear and start typing.

  • For Sequence Numbers, click on the spot where you want the number to appear.

  1. Edit Your Work

  • To fix mistakes, use the "Undo" button in the toolbar (shortcut: Ctrl + Z) to go back one step.

  • Some tools also have an eraser option, letting you manually remove parts of your drawing if needed.
